Between the ages of 15 and 29? Can’t justify shelling out $100 to see a world-class classical concert? Sign up for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s tsoundcheck, and pay only $12 for many of the TSO’s concerts throughout the year. Signup is free. You don’t need to be a student. And best of all, you don’t have to wait until the day of the concert to buy a ticket. In general, you can buy tickets a week or so before the show, so keep checking on the TSO’s website to see what’s available.

The seat you (and a friend – you can buy up to 2 tickets) get assigned will vary, depending on what’s available at the time of your booking. I’ve gotten seats in the 3^rd row, and also seats on the furthest balcony before, so it really is luck of the draw.

My favourite guilty pleasure: Sleeping through a classical concert. Hey, it’s only $12 bucks.
