Full Day Environmental Symposium Feb. 21

U of T environmental symposium

There’s a full day environmental symposium going on on Wednesday February 21, 2007, called “Moving Canada Towards Sustainability” (website here). This is a hardcore environmental stuff! To give you an idea:

Moving Canada Towards Sustainability is bullfrogpowered with 100% green electricity.

Travel as well as all printed matter associated with the event, are carbon-neutral through Zerofootprint Offsets.

See what I mean? They even got Al Gore to come and speak (ah, but the Torontoist beat us to that one)! Unfortunately, the tickets to Gore’s public lecture sold out within 2 hours of opening sale. Online registration for the symposium is also sold out. Howevever, you might want to try your luck by going in person for the Symposium tickets (location and office hours here).

For more information about the symposium, check out their program.

I don’t think going in person will help. The tickets are gone, gone, gone.

  2. Jenelle Says:

I got in contact with a scalper for tickets to Al Gore’s lecture, and he’s pushing for $200 each. He claims he’s a university grad and needs the money to invest in his future.

    Good grief.

  3. JP Says:

    That’s ridiculous… good God!

You know what he REALLY should invest in… not being an asshole!
