Spelling It Out for Mr. Harper

April 24th, 2007 by

Have you ever wanted to be a part of something GIANT?

Do you envy engineering f!rosh for their practice of spelling things on Front Campus?

Are you passionate about changing the world and Canada’s role in making a difference?

This Friday you will have a chance to shoot not one, not two, but THREE birds with same stone!

All around the country, people are coming together to send Prime Minister Stephen Harper a message: We are citizens of the world. We are concerned about extreme poverty. We want Canada to keep its promise of contributing 0.7% of the GDP to Official Development Assistance.

On June 6, the leaders of the eight richest countries in the world will meet in Germany. Two years ago, all of them committed to the global mandate of combating poverty. Unfortunately, Canada is one of the countries who have not reached the 0.7% target. As the Prime Minister prepares for the meeting, we will spell out for him, loud and clear, what needs to be done.

Join us in making a huge 0.7% figure out of our bodies on Front Campus. Invite all your family and friends; IT’LL BE A PARTY!
