Winterfest 2009!

We know that the transition from party- and relaxation-filled winter break to test- and assignment-filled school is an unpleasant one, to say the least. To help smooth things over, the UTSU has planned Winterfest, a smorgasbord of events covering everything from skating, to movie night, to club night, and everything in between. After the jump, read some more detailed descriptions of the events.

——–Monday, January 5th———
SKATING at Nathan Philip’s Square
Buses leave Hart House Circle at 7pm
There will be Hot Chocolate and Snacks served
Skate Rentals available.

——–Tuesday, January 6th———
The Bloor St. Pub Crawl
each pub, $3; all-access, $5
New College – James Joyce, all ages
Trinity – Duke of York, all ages
Innis – Pauper’s Pub, all ages
Woodsworth – Madison Avenue Pub
Victoria – Gabby’s, 19+

——–Wednesday, January 7th———
BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Lee’s Palace, 19+, $2 cover
Doors open – 8pm
Katie Stelmanis 8:30pm
Intercollegiate Battle of the Bands to follow starting at 9pm!

——–Thursday, January 8th———
CLUB NIGHT, This is London, ALL AGES
All UofT, $10 advance ticket, $15 at the door
Shuttle Busing available from the St. George Campus
Pick-ups at Hart House

——–Friday, January 9th———
St. George Film Festival. Theme: Summer Fun
Starting at 12pm, New College does Ski School in NR25
2:30pm: Innis College Town Hall
5:00pm: Woodsworth does Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in Krueger Hall, WW111
7:30pm: Trinity
10:30pm: “Some Like it Hot” @ Northrop Frye 003 (Victoria College)

——–Saturday, January 10th———
Capture the Flag: Federated vs. Constituent edition
Starting at noon, Victoria and Trinity together will battle New, Innis, and Woodsworth on a campus-wide battlefield.

At 2pm, we will provide pancakes and beer for all UofT students to end this great week.
Beer is $1, pancakes are free!
