Hmmm Sarah, I also do not understand why Complaint Box mentions his crotch so many times.
What exactly does his crotch have to do with this article?
He must feel the need to justify his non-existent manliness in an effort to get laid someday.

I completely cant STAND the yapping!! How much mindless crap can people discuss in one train ride?? In my experience, too much. And the worst part about it is that they KNOW they have nothing to talk about, they’re just trying to ease the awkwardness of having to sit/stand near each other in public. I think that should be closer to the top than anything…

I can’t say I’ve ever experienced the wide-spread leg thing… although I do recall some menacing looking people taking up space with their extra large coats. I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable all up in there to begin with. But I do agree its VERY RUDE TO HAVE AN OVERLY LARGE COAT, especially when one is prone to using public transit!

FINALLY, I feel there is FAR too little complaint about the lack of consideration taken by a very small but PROMINENT selection of TTC workers. I speak of the bus drivers who ride each others’ backsides all through rush hour, causing 40 minutes gaps where there should be 10. The ones who decide to make a pit stop at Tim Hortons whenever they feel like it, just slip out the front door for 5 minutes without even BOTHERING to ask if I’d like an ice cap…. I meaaaaan, really. How very inconsiderate.

Hmmm, Complaint Box seems extremely concerned about people getting too close to his crotch. I wonder why that could be?? But you probably don’t need to worry – I highly doubt that anybody is as concerned about your crotch as you appear to be.

Thou dost protest too much, Complaint Box. In the future, you should probably make more of an effort to hide your guilty defensiveness.

I’m going to continue standing in front of empty seats and the *rear* doors because you might not realize it but it’s twice as awkward to stand in front of you with my crotch in front of your face. No thanks.
And it’s funny because they’re standing so you can have a seat. So stop complaining like a little girl.

The worst is when people play their music so loud in their headphones that you can hear it 10 feet away or if they play it out loud with their cell phone so everyone has to listen …. that drives me crazy.

I’m with Justine on this one. Actually, as annoying as the things you mentioned are (it drives me CRAZY whenever people stand in crowded trains wearing their backpacks), TTC staff are usually far more rude than the passengers. I’m sure we’ve all been barked at more than a few times just for trying to buy tokens/passes.

I hate it when the bus/train driver keeps yelling for people to keep moving back when CLEARLY, there is no more room to move back otherwise we would have done so already. And some drivers, I feel, simply enjoy using the damn loudspeaker.

I have such a love/hate relationship with the TTC. 9 AM rides, thick of rush hour, honestly make me hate my life. hahaha
